My story begins with something unexpected — I live with Aphantasia, which means I can’t form mental images in my mind. I can’t picture faces, places, or memories the way most people can. For me, photography isn’t just art — it’s the only way I can see and remember the important things. It’s how I hold on to the emotions, moments, and people that would otherwise fade into abstraction.
That realization changed everything about how I create. Every image I make is intentional — an effort to preserve the feeling of a moment with honesty, clarity, and emotion. I’m drawn to light, texture, and subtle gestures because they anchor what my mind can’t recall on its own. Photography, for me, is memory made visible.
Based in Colorado, my inspiration comes from the natural contrasts of this place — mountain light, quiet spaces, and the beauty that exists in imperfection. Whether I’m photographing a person, a pet, or a landscape, my goal is always the same: to capture what feels true, not just what looks perfect.
Andy Robbins Photo Art is built on that philosophy — that art should make you feel something. My work blends technical precision with emotional storytelling, creating images that endure long after the moment passes. For me, photography isn’t only about what I see through the lens; it’s about preserving what I can’t see in my mind, but never want to forget.
